Both of the ones I have are broken. Anyone have any they'd be willing to sell for cheap?

Not selling mine, but call your local RadioShack and ask how much their RCA record players are. That's what I have. Don't remember how much I payed, but it was reasonable.

hey ive got my old one around at my house. i got a new needle for it a few months back. its nothing to write home about though, it can skip a lot and the speeds are very verrrry slightly faster than normal. i could only tell the difference when i got a new record player. wouldnt consider it permanent, but it works for a while just to play some 7"s. i bought it for 50, ill sell it to you for 20 skrillz.
nothing garunteed, dont wanna rip you off here, so just know that there are a few flaws.

Campbell, is the skipping and different speeds very conflicting? Or does it not really matter? I just want to play the music, a little bit of skipping and unnoticeable speed wouldn't hurt.
I live two blocks from the boys and girls club if you're going to the show on the 12th. I know times up has a show before that, so if you're going to south city beforehand, I could take it off your hands and just take it back to my house. I just need to come up with the 20.

they also might have them at the record man, but he jacks the price way up so i wouldn't reccomend there
